The plot of the film poses the viewer about the life of Jesus Christ according to the biblical account of the Gospel of Luke. The director decided to create a film based on the script from Luke from the Gospel. This took almost five years of painstaking and laborious work. The film was shot in Israel. In the episodic roles, more than five thousand people were involved, they were similar to the army that participated in the hostilities. The big problem was the choice of the main actor. After several samples, the choice was stopped by Brian Deacon, a member of the Royal Society "New Shakespeare Company". Brian, in order to prepare for the shooting, read the Gospel of Luke more than twenty times in different translations, memorizing whole chapters. The shooting took seven months.
